Founded in 2007, the Asian Film Awards (AFA) is the first event of its kind, and is held yearly in conjunction with the Hong Kong International Film Festival. Presided over by a jury of international and local film professionals, the AFA aims to unite Asian filmmakers by recognizing and promoting outstanding achievements in Asian film to an international audience.
