Ricardo Darin plays a retired criminal court investigator who decides to write a novel based on an old case from 1974 in which a beautiful woman was brutally raped and beaten to death.The Secret in Their Eyes In scenes from that period, the film also explores the unconsummated love between Esposito and his boss Irene, played by Soledad Villamil.
